About Me

I am currently in grad school for counseling. I spent fifteen years in Church Ministry serving teenagers pointing them to the hope in Jesus. I love a good cup of coffee while hanging out with people. I enjoy a good walk with time to think, pray & dream of the possibilities. I enjoy deep conversations with other people. I relish listening to good music. I like biking. I am a board game enthusiast. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors and camping in a tent. I enjoy playing video games. I love taking long car rides with the windows down and the music turned up. I am passionate about seeing students own their faith in Jesus. I love seeing what God wants to do in the life of someone who is excited about joining in what God is doing.

When I was younger, I never thought that church or reading the Bible was relevant to my life. However, by the end of my first semester as a freshman in high school, I reached a point of despair. My life lacked purpose and fulfillment. Though my family made me go to Church, I thought faith and religion was just a bunch of rules and regulations devoid of anything life giving or real. It wasn’t long after this, my family decided that we were going to visit a new church. The people at this new church seemed to have something real. There was a gnawing conviction deep in my soul of all the sin that was in my life-eating me away from the inside. One Sunday, the message of salvation was presented in a very profound and convicting way. I decided to put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation from my past and to redeem my life and future. It was the best decision I’ve ever made!

An Arrow Pointing To Heaven

Once I committed my life to Christ I found I had a passion for public speaking and decided that I would use my gifts to speak about what Christ had done in my life. I found that the more I preached and talked about God and the more I studied His word, the more I wanted to use whatever I had to serve Christ and honor Him alone. I began to realize that what Christ was doing in me was the most important thing to me. Therefore, I wanted to spend the rest of my life devoted to spreading this message of truth and life to other people. I began to realize that Jesus was calling me into vocational full-time ministry. God has confirmed this calling in my life over and over again.

I graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in 2008 with a B.A. in Youth Ministry. God blessed me by allowing me to marry my best friend. We share a passion to serve the Lord together in full-time ministry reaching students with this real-life-changing Gospel of Jesus. My focus has been to help individuals to own their own faith. I want the people I serve to have a deep, authentic relationship with Jesus. My heart desires that my life is an arrow pointing towards heaven.
